Autumn, My Twist 28 and a Little Bit of Luck
Well, my Twist 28 is officially here to stay — in my camera bag every day, all day. 😂 I knew when I left for work this morning that the sun was supposed to come out, so I was already prepared to stop somewhere on my way home and take some photos. I had actually decided a long time ago where I was going to stop. For a while, I was convinced that my new lens would arrive too late and that all the beautiful autumn colours would be gone before I got the chance to photograph them. But jeeeeeeeiiiiiiii! I made it! 😂 And OH MY GOD. I got this beauty. This little bridge is one of those places I never seem to get tired of photographing. There are actually two houses right next to it, and every time I stop there with my camera I think, Wow, there are actually people living here. I often wonder if they think this place is as beautiful and special as I do. Probably not. At least I never see anyone outside when I arrive. 😂 And here I am, always outside with my camera and my coffee cup whenever m

Getting to Know My New Baby – Twist 28
I think I have a new obsession. 😄 After getting my new Lensbaby Twist 28, I obviously had to take it out for a proper walk. So here I am, walking around my neighbourhood, sometimes alone and sometimes with my husband, and getting to know my new little baby. I am still very much in the “let’s see what happens” stage. Some photos work beautifully, some are a little… well, let’s just call them experiments. Ha ha ha! But that is exactly what I love about trying a new lens. So come along for a little walk around my neighbourhood and have a look at what the Twist 28 and I have been up to. Down to the river The walk takes me through a small forest and down towards the river, where the stone beach is. This is one of those places I have photographed many times before, but with the Twist 28 it suddenly feels a little different. The lens gives everything around the centre of the image that lovely movement and softness, and I am still figuring out exactly how to use it. And because this lens can

My new baby!
Got my Lensbaby Twist 28 yesterday, and of course I went outside to my backyard to try it out. Because what else would I do? 😄 I have been waiting for this little beauty for a while, and the moment it arrived, I knew I wasn't going to spend much time reading instructions. I wanted to see what it could do. So, camera in hand, I walked out into my backyard — which, by the way, is probably the most beautiful backyard ever. Ha ha ha! At least I think so. The Twist 28 is quite different from my other Lensbaby lenses. It gives me a wider view, but still keeps that lovely Lensbaby feeling, with the world around the centre starting to twist and move. And suddenly, my very familiar backyard looked a little different. The old bridge, the river, the reflections, the trees and all those little autumn details were suddenly something new to explore. These are some of my very first shots with my new baby. I am still getting to know her. And I have a feeling we are going to have a lot of fun together

63 ára og hvað með það!
Já ég er með hárið tekið upp með spennnu. Já, það situr eitthvað undarlega. Ég sé það alveg sjálf. Ég skil vel að þér finnist ég vera svolítið einkennileg. Það skil ég mjög vel! Þú ert jú ung! Ég get alveg tekið spennuna úr. Svona! Er þetta betra núna, finnst þér? Ekki?

A Morning Walk with a Twist
This morning I went for my first proper autumn photo walk of the season. Nothing dramatic. No big adventure. Just a walk from home, following the river and seeing what autumn had started to leave behind. I took my Fujifilm X-T30 with the Lensbaby Twist 60, and that pretty much meant that this was never going to be a power walk. Because how can you possibly keep walking when there are leaves up there, berries over there, something interesting down by the ground, and something else hiding between the trees? So I stopped. And looked up. Then down. Then sideways. Then across the river. And, of course, I took a picture. Then another one. And another… The morning dew was still covering the grass, so my shoes and feet eventually got completely wet. But honestly, I didn't really care. This is exactly why I love autumn photography. You step outside for a little while and suddenly the whole world is full of things you didn't notice yesterday. The colours are just beginning to change here. A few

A Castle Behind the Trees – Discovering Tungefoss Kraftstasjon
Sometimes you don't have to travel far to discover something new. Sometimes you just have to look behind the trees. We have driven past Tungefoss Kraftstasjon in Bjelland more times than I can count. I work in Bjelland, so this is not exactly an unknown part of the world to me. And yet… I had never seen it. Not really. The other day, Þráinn and I went for a little drive, and somehow we ended up at Tungefoss. And there it was. A castle. Okay, technically it is a power station. 😂 But honestly, when I first saw the building, castle was the first word that came into my head. Look at those stone walls! The windows. The little tower-like section. The old doors. The water running underneath the building. And all of it surrounded by trees and the Norwegian landscape. It felt almost unreal. A little piece of history Tungefoss Kraftstasjon was built in 1918 and used the waterfall in the Mandalselva to generate electricity. It was originally built to supply power to the molybdenum mines at Øvre
